Shero Games Takes Off With The JLH Social Impact Fund

Earlier this summer, Shero Games was selected by the JLH Social Impact Fund as a 2023 Grantee. The JLH Social Impact Grant was founded in 2020 by NBA All-Star and 2021 NBA Champion, Jrue Holiday, and two-time Olympic gold medalist, Lauren Holiday, to champion businesses and organizations focused on social impact and creating a more equitable future for underserved communities.

Shero Games was one of fifteen black-owned businesses in the country selected for the highly competitive program. Since June, we’ve been in a cohort with fellow small business owners, getting a crash course on how to grow our businesses and connect with our customers. The program concludes in the winter of 2023, and Shero Games will officially launch as a new division of Shero Comics with an exciting new media campaign.

This past August, Shero Games had a soft launch at Jrue and Lauren’s first-annual Dual Court Classic, a celebrity basketball and soccer tournament held in downtown Los Angeles at Surgeon Studios. During the event, attendees had an opportunity to play the prototype of our upcoming infinite runner mobile game, “Rayven Choi: Reaper’s Run.” Jrue was the first person to play the game and had a fantastic “run.”
